Timestamp Converter

Convert between Unix epoch and human-readable dates, UTC and local.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between 10-digit and 13-digit timestamps?
A 10-digit value is Unix time in seconds; a 13-digit value is milliseconds. If your converter shows a date in the year 50,000, you probably entered milliseconds where seconds were expected, or vice versa.
Does it account for timezones?
Epoch time is inherently UTC. The tool shows both the UTC value and your local time so you can see the offset explicitly rather than guessing.
Can I convert a human date back to epoch?
Yes. Enter a date and time and the tool returns the corresponding Unix timestamp in both seconds and milliseconds.
Is anything sent to a server?
No. All conversions are computed in your browser.
